The animals with out backbones are called invertebrate animals.There are more than one million species of animals present on the earth, among them 95% are invertebrate animals. Altogether there are 30 phylum of invertebrate animals according to the starting classification of animals but on the basis of their number of species and their ecological importance they have now been said to be only nine types of phylum.
